Qibla Finder: Prayer Direction

Qibla Finder: Prayer Direction shows exactly which way to face for prayer — not as an arrow spinning on a plain dial, but as a line drawn over a live satellite photo of the ground you are standing on. Instead of guessing whether "that way" points at the sofa or the neighbor's fence, you see your own street, your own roof, your own room, and line up with a real wall, window, doorframe or road. It's a fast, precise way to find the Qibla (also written Qiblah) — the direction of the Kaaba, known too as the Kaabah or Ka'bah, inside Masjid al-Haram in Makkah (Mecca).

A SATELLITE MAP INSTEAD OF A GUESSING GAME
Most compass apps hand you a spinning needle and leave you to imagine the rest. Qibla Finder puts a satellite photo of exactly where you are underneath the Qibla line, so the direction is anchored to something real.

• Pinch to zoom in on your building, balcony or courtyard
• Drag the bottom banner down to expand the map
• Tap the recenter button any time you move
• Works anywhere Apple Maps has satellite imagery

KNOW THE MOMENT YOU ARE ALIGNED
A banner at the bottom keeps you informed without forcing you to stare at numbers.

• Shows how many degrees to turn and which way
• Turns green with a short haptic pulse the instant you face the Qibla
• Haptics can be switched off in Settings under Alignment Haptics
• Displays your current distance to the Kaaba

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE
Prayer doesn't wait for perfect conditions, so the app works wherever you are.

• Just moved into a new apartment and don't know which wall to face
• Staying in a hotel room while travelling and need salah direction fast
• At your office desk, a classroom or a shared workspace
• Relaxing in a park and want to pray outdoors
• Out in open desert or countryside where signal is weak or absent
• Indoors or underground where GPS struggles

SETTINGS THAT MATCH HOW YOU PRAY
Small details matter, so a few calculation options are built in.

• Choose Great Circle (shortest path) or Rhumb Line for the calculation formula
• Set your heading reference to True North or Magnetic North
• Turn Alignment Haptics on or off to suit your preference

COMPASS ONLY MODE — WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE
Sometimes you don't have a map, data, or a location fix, and that's fine. Compass Only mode relies purely on your iPhone's built-in magnetometer, with no map, internet or location required. It keeps working in airplane mode, underground, or abroad with no data plan — ideal for travel, umrah or hajj journeys, and any moment you just need a direction, fast.

NO SIGNAL? SET YOUR LOCATION BY HAND
If GPS is weak, slow, or you're deep indoors, skip waiting entirely by searching a city or address and setting your location manually. The Qibla line updates right away using that position.

A QUICK CALIBRATION KEEPS IT ACCURATE
Every magnetometer drifts occasionally, so Qibla Finder gives clear guidance whenever a figure-8 calibration is needed, plus a short reminder at launch to calibrate first. It takes seconds and keeps readings trustworthy.

YOUR PRIVACY, LEFT ALONE
There is no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no subscriptions or in-app purchases — completely free. Location is used only on your phone; it is never sent to the developer and never stored on any server.

WHO IT IS FOR
Built for Muslims performing salah — also called salat or namaz — at home, at the mosque or masjid, at work, at school, or on the road, plus anyone travelling who wants a fast, reliable, offline-capable Qibla compass without clutter. Whether you're new to prayer or have prayed your whole life, seeing the Qibla drawn over your own surroundings makes lining up simple and quick.

Qibla Finder: Prayer Direction is made for iPhone running iOS 17 or later. It uses the compass and location hardware already inside your iPhone, so there is nothing to set up, nothing to sign in to and nothing to pay. Open it, calibrate once, and you'll always know exactly which way to turn.
