QuietScore - Soundproof Test

QuietScore measures how much noise your doors and windows actually block: a Sound Isolation Score in about 60 seconds, using your iPhone and a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker. No lab equipment, no calibration, no sign-up.

It is a practical estimate, on a scale comparable to professional STC ratings, and it is the number that tells you whether to sign the lease, whether your conference calls can be heard from the next room, whether the studio treatment worked, or whether last weekend's weatherstripping did anything at all.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Put a Bluetooth or AirPlay speaker inside the room
2. Step outside with your phone and take a reading with the door open
3. Close the door and take the second reading

The app plays test tones through the speaker and measures how much of them survives the trip through your door or window. Same spot for both readings, only the door changes: your score is the difference between the two, which is why nothing needs calibrating. About 60 seconds once the speaker is connected.

WHAT YOU GET

LEAK SCANNER
Sound rarely comes through the wall. It comes through the gap. Sweep your phone along a door or window frame and the scanner reads the leak live against a baseline spot you set, so you can hear and see the moment it jumps. Mark the hot spots as you find them and they collect into a findings list. Two modes: play a tone from inside, or listen passively to whatever noise is already out there. The scanner locates leaks — it doesn't score the door.

A retake spends one of your three; a run we can't stand behind, interrupted or too noisy to trust, doesn't. The app shows what you have left before you start.
