Spin the globe. Land somewhere new.
Radio Dad turns a 3D globe into your tuning dial. Give it a spin, let go, and you land on a station that is on air right now: a jazz cafe in Lisbon, morning news in Tokyo, a village FM you would never have found on your own. Over 50,000 live stations from more than 230 countries and territories, one spin away.
SPIN TO TUNE
Drag the globe and let go. Every glowing dot is a station in the catalog. Hop from country to country, or open Discover for a daily pick of what is worth hearing. The globe has no search box, on purpose. When you do want something specific, Search is one tap away.
ASK DAD
Not sure what you want? Say it in your own words: “pop from Greece”, “a podcast about history”. Dad finds real stations and shows from the catalog and hands them straight to you. He answers on your device. Only the place, genre or subject he looks up leaves it. Free, on recent devices.
LIVE CAPTIONS AND TRANSLATION
Read what is being said as you listen, and translate it into your language as it happens. Captions cover 30+ languages, translation about 20, and both run on your device. A great way to practice a language, or to follow the news somewhere far from home. Live captions need a recent device. One free run to try. With Premium: captions on any station, translated as they scroll.
KNOW EVERY SONG
Tap once to identify the track that is playing. Every song you find is kept with its artwork, the station, and where in the world you heard it. Five identifications a day are free, and the library shows your most recent 25. With Premium: unlimited identification, the full library, plus synced lyrics that scroll in time and translate line by line.
PODCASTS
Search a directory of shows, follow the ones you like, download episodes to listen offline and queue up what is next. With Premium: the full transcript of an episode, translated if you want it.
RADIO ROAD TRIPS
Pick two countries. Radio Dad maps a route between them and serves up local stations the whole way.
MADE FOR HOW YOU LISTEN
Radio Dad runs on iPhone and iPad, with a free Apple Watch app that streams without your phone, and CarPlay. A big-button Driving Mode for cars without CarPlay. Home Screen, Lock Screen and Control Center widgets. Siri and Shortcuts. A sleep timer. Favorites and folders. The app speaks 15 languages, and you can set its language separately from your device’s.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account to create. No ads, no ad networks, no data brokers, no cross-app tracking, nothing sold to anyone. Captions and translation happen on your device. Usage statistics are anonymous and never tied to you. If you turn on new-episode alerts, the shows you follow are saved with your device’s notification token, so we know when to wake it.
