Description by Why Not Prosper Inc.(from the App Store)
Why Not Prosper's resource guide helps people coming home from prison find support in the Philadelphia area — quickly, in plain language, with no account and no sign-up.
WHAT YOU CAN FIND Food. Housing and shelter. Jobs and training. Health care and recovery. Mental health and counseling. Legal help. Clothing. Money and benefits. GED and school. Bus and transportation. Help for women, and help for people coming home.
HOW IT WORKS • Tap what you need — no typing required • Or search in your own words • See places closest to you on a map • Call with one tap • Save places to My List • See whether a place is open right now
BUILT FOR REAL LIFE The app works without internet once it has loaded, so you can use it on the bus or anywhere the signal is weak. Big buttons and plain words throughout. We tell you when we could not confirm a place is still open, so you know to call first.
UPDATES Turn on notifications to hear from the Why Not Prosper team about new resources and news. You choose what you get, and you can turn it off any time.
ABOUT WHY NOT PROSPER Why Not Prosper is a Philadelphia nonprofit that helps women from prison systems discover their own strength — a hand up, not a hand out. We provide pre-release mentoring, housing, workforce development, adult literacy and more from our community resource center in Germantown.
