Description by Ronnie Reyes(from the App Store)
Help your child practice reading, one word at a time.
ReadStar combines reading flashcards, spoken practice, spelling games, storybooks and star rewards for early readers ages 3–6.
• Practice the original 140 reading words across nine learning phases. • Explore 27 additional Red Words in four practice sets, with watercolor pictures and gentle grown-up help. • See original-word and Red Word progress separately, plus combined progress across 167 words. • Unlock nine phase storybooks, now illustrated with 54 watercolor scenes, as reading progress grows. • Enjoy a special first storybook after ten mastered words. • Keep separate local learner profiles in Teacher Mode, with existing progress preserved as Original Learner. • Play spelling games, hear word pronunciations, track progress and celebrate with reading certificates. • Use larger text, protected parent settings, and an optional grown-up help route when recognition needs another check.
Try the first 20 original words and the first storybook for free. A single one-time in-app purchase unlocks full access, including Red Words. No subscription or monthly payments.
Speech recognition can make mistakes. A protected grown-up approval option supports reading practice without automatically crediting an uncertain answer. Practice results are not a certification of independent reading ability.
Progress, optional learner nicknames and voice-studio recordings are saved on the device. Purchase access and recordings are shared across local profiles. Reading practice uses Apple speech recognition, which may process audio on Apple servers. ReadStar does not save reading-practice audio. Stories are assembled from the bundled library on the device. Certificates are shared only when a grown-up chooses to share them, with an optional nickname approved for that export.
No ads, tracking SDKs, user accounts, or ReadStar-operated progress server.
