Recipes – Save & Cook

Recipes is a free app that keeps recipes from the web, social media and cookbooks in one place. Your recipes are stored on your phone, can be edited freely and stay readable without an internet connection. There is no limit on the number of recipes.

Recipes from the web
Paste a link or tap "Share" in your browser: the app takes the title, ingredients, method and photo. This works with most recipe sites and blogs, including via Pinterest. The recipe stays even if the page disappears later.

Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and WhatsApp
If a recipe is in a post or a message, share it to “Recipes”. The app separates ingredients and steps on its own.

Cookbooks and handwritten recipes
Take a photo of a cookbook page and the app recognizes the title, ingredients and steps, even across several pages. Recognition runs on your phone; the photo is not uploaded anywhere. Handwritten cards can be kept as photos.

Cooking and shopping
In cooking mode the screen stays on, the text is large, and times mentioned in the text start a timer with a tap. Servings can be scaled. Ingredients go onto the shopping list with one tap, sorted by supermarket section.

Organizing and finding
Your own categories and folders, notes and your own photos for every recipe. Search finds recipes by title, ingredients, notes and method.

Your recipes belong to you
No account is needed. All recipes can be backed up to a file, transferred to another phone over Wi-Fi, or sent individually as a PDF. If you like, they sync through your own iCloud.

Recipes is available in 46 languages for iPhone and iPad. Behind the app is a single developer who keeps improving it. Bugs and suggestions reach him straight from the app: Settings → "Message us".
