Renew Earth

The field data collection tool behind Renew’s nature monitoring and intelligence services.

The Renew Earth App enables field teams and contributors to collect reliable, scientifically-robust nature data with no specialist expertise required.

The Renew team creates bespoke sampling strategies for your project. These strategies are uploaded directly into the app and translated into clear, structured missions that guide users step-by-step through data collection in the field.

The app provides instructions, prompts, and built-in checks that ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability - regardless of who is using it.

How it works

• Renew designs a bespoke sampling strategy for your project and loads it directly into the app
• Map-based navigation guides users to precise sampling locations
• Structured missions organise each data point into clear, manageable tasks
• In-app instructions explain exactly what is required at each point
• Smart device checks alert users to issues that could affect data quality

Why it matters

The Renew Earth App forms part of Renew’s wider service offering, providing strong foundations for credible nature and natural capital improvement and claims. By combining guided workflows with scientific design, the app enables:

• Consistent, defensible datasets ready for analysis and reporting
• Broader participation without relying on specialist field staff
• Lower data collection costs without compromising scientific rigour
• Results feed directly into Renew’s data platform, where results can be reviewed, analysed and reported
