Riders Compass

Riders Compass plans motorcycle rides around the one thing that decides whether the day is good: the weather when you actually get there.

Enter a start and a destination, or just a start and how far you feel like riding, and every checkpoint along the route shows the forecast for the hour you will reach it. Wind, rain, fog, heat, cold and darkness become alerts on the map before you put your helmet on.

PLAN
- Routes from Apple Maps, with up to three alternates
- One way, round trip (back on different roads), or a generated loop of the length you choose
- Up to five stops, avoid tolls, avoid highways
- Departure date up to 16 days ahead

SEE THE RIDE IN 3D
- Fly over a planned route on 3D terrain before you go, with the weather at each checkpoint and the fuel stops on the way
- Replay any recorded ride in 3D, with speed and altitude
- Share the flight as a video to Instagram or wherever you like

WEATHER WHERE AND WHEN YOU RIDE
- Hour-by-hour forecast at each checkpoint, for your arrival time
- Riding-condition rating: good, fair, poor or dangerous
- The route on the map coloured by condition
- Alerts for thunderstorms, ice, strong wind, heavy rain, fog, extreme temperatures and riding after sunset
- Elevation profile with climb and descent

SPEED CAMERAS
- Fixed cameras and average-speed checks marked on every planned route
- Spoken and vibrating warnings while riding, through your helmet headset
- Automatically off where local law does not allow it

FUEL AND FOOD
- Fuel cost estimate for every route from your bike's consumption
- Station prices where governments publish them (France, Austria, Germany)
- Add your motorcycle and its real-world range, and the planner places fuel stops along the route
- Fuel, food and coffee, motorcycle shops, scenic spots, lodging and hospitals near you or along a saved trip, with Look Around previews

RIDE
- Live compass with true heading, speed and altitude
- Record rides, with the track on a map, distance, time and average speed
- Export rides and trips as GPX
