Riichi Anywhere

Riichi Anywhere is a faithful, offline implementation of Japanese riichi mahjong for iPhone.

Play at 3-player (sanma) or 4-player tables under Tenhou's own ranked-match rules, against AI opponents at four difficulty rungs, from a beginner-friendly bot up to a policy network trained on real play. Beside the table size, choose how long a game runs: a single hand, an East game or a South game (the East and South rounds).

New to riichi? A guided first hand teaches you tenpai, why a hand needs a yaku, and furiten, and an in-game helper shows which yaku your hand can still complete, at any point in play.

Every finished game is kept in a local history with statistics — win rate, deal-in rate, average placement and more — and your latest game can be reviewed move by move.

All of that is free in games of one hand. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks the rest: East and South games; the other presets, including the World Riichi Championship ruleset; rules of your own in the ruleset editor — starting points, uma, kuitan, red fives, kan-dora timing and dozens more; a review of any game in your history; statistics narrowed by rules, table size, game length, opponents and date; and backup, restore and mjai and Tenhou log export.

No account and no ads. No currency, real or virtual — riichi mahjong's points are scores, not stakes. The game runs entirely on your device; only the unlock — its price, its purchase and Restore Purchases — goes through the App Store.
