Rogallo BlackBox

Rogallo BlackBox is the all-in-one app for paragliding pilots. It can record, analyse, manage and upload your flights to XC servers.

This means that with Rogallo BlackBox, the days when you had to grab your vario from the flying backpack, connect it to your computer via USB, download your flight with a special software just to get an IGC file that you had to upload to an XC server in order to analyse your flying, are finally over.

Rogallo BlackBox replaces all these steps and you never have to worry about USB cables anymore. We promise!


Here is what Rogallo BlackBox can do for you:

Record flights:
The app is designed to be the perfect flight documentation tool. It will record your flights as signed IGC files that can be uploaded to all major XC contest like DHV-XC and XContest from within the app. Also the app is capable of providing useful in-flight information either visually or via audio.

Logbook:
One of the main goals when developing Rogallo BlackBox was to create an easy to use flight logbook where all your flights are stored in one place. In the logbook section you can search for flights or filter your flight list. So, for example you can analyse how many flights you have done from a particular takeoff and how many XC points you have scored from there.

Detailed flight analysis:
It goes without saying that Rogallo BlackBox calculates XC score and many other values that will help you understand a particular flight. But on top of that, it is possible to compare multiple flights visually on a map. This will help you to find ways where you can improve your flying in the future.

Import:
Rogallo BlackBox is capable of automatically importing all your flights from DHV-XC. And of course it can also import IGC and GPX files.

Statistics:
Gaining information about how you have progressed during your flying career has never been so easy. Rogallo BlackBox will present you a variety of statistical information in a very compelling and intuitive way. That way you can understand your progression as a pilot.

Manage your flying equipment:
The app keeps track of the airtime that you have flown with every one of your gliders. Also it will let you filter the statistics per glider, so you can get a more detailed understanding of the performance differences of your wings. Finally Rogallo BlackBox will help you remember when the next check is due for every one of your gliders.

Synchronisation:
Rogallo BlackBox can sync all of your flights to Rogallo FlightLog on your Mac via iCloud. This means that when you open Rogallo FlightLog on your Mac, your latest flights are already there without you ever having to touch an USB cable anymore.
