Describe a character in a sentence — "a paranoid gnome alchemist who loves explosions" — and the Forge builds a complete, voiced companion in about thirty seconds. Then start a session, tap Start Listening, and it plays that character out loud at your table.
It listens on your device. It decides what to say with AI. And it rolls honest dice with real rules resolution — Sneak Attack, critical hits, degrees of success, persistent damage — with every roll shown as a receipt you can audit.
It never decides whether it hit. Roll Call announces the attack total and asks the DM — "That's a 22 to hit, does that hit?" — and only rolls damage once the table rules. Natural 20s and natural 1s resolve themselves, like the rules say. Everything else is the DM's call.
HOW IT PLAYS
• Talk to it by name — "Wren, what do you do?"
• Hand it a turn — "Wren, it's your turn"
• Call the hit — "That hits" — and it rolls the damage
• Wrap up with "That is all, Wren"
WHAT IT DOES
• Forge a full character from one sentence, voice included
• Honest, auditable dice with real D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e rules
• Asks the DM to adjudicate instead of assuming
• Remembers your campaign between sessions
• Plays solo — type what the GM says and it answers out loud
• Level up and re-forge a sheet as your character grows
• Dozens of character voices, all included
PREMIUM VOICE
The built-in voice is free, forever. Premium Voice is an optional subscription that gives your character a performed voice — breath, accent, and timing instead of a phone reading a sentence out. $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, unlimited, cancel anytime. If you never subscribe, or subscribe and stop, your character keeps playing with the built-in voice. Payment is charged to your Apple Account and the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
PRIVACY
Roll Call listens to your table to do its job, and it transcribes everyone present — not just you. Speech recognition happens on your device wherever iOS supports it. Tell your group it's listening before you start. Full details in our privacy policy.
