Room Reference brings measured frequency response and estimated room modes into one clear view. Explore bass behaviour, see your speaker and listening positions, and compare measurements as you refine your setup.
MEASURE YOUR LISTENING AREA
Follow a guided measurement of the left and right speakers at five listening-area positions. Review the combined response or inspect each speaker separately, with a frequency cursor for relative level readings.
CONNECT RESPONSE WITH ROOM MODES
View estimated axial modes alongside the measured response. Explore modes along the room's length, width and height, select individual frequencies, and inspect diagrams showing ideal pressure patterns and predicted interaction with your saved setup.
Room insights highlight measured bass peaks that may align with estimated modes. These are clues to explore through placement changes and repeat measurements.
SEE WHAT CHANGED
Save and name measurements, compare two recorded responses, and keep named comparisons for later. Check differences after changing speaker placement, listening position, microphones or other parts of your setup.
BUILD YOUR ROOM
Enter room dimensions manually or start with a LiDAR room scan on a supported device. Set speaker and listening positions and keep the room layout associated with each measurement.
USE YOUR MICROPHONE
Measure with the iPhone microphone or a compatible external microphone or audio interface. Import supported microphone calibration files and select the profile that matches your microphone and orientation.
Room-mode diagrams are estimates based on an ideal rectangular room. Real rooms, openings, furnishings and speaker behaviour can differ. Frequency-response measurements show relative level; results depend on the microphone, calibration, playback route and measurement conditions.
