Sacred Bible Commentary

Sacred Bible Commentary brings together 2,000 years of Catholic biblical scholarship in one place. Look up any passage and get commentary drawn from the Church Fathers, the Saints, and the greatest Catholic scholars in history.

WHAT YOU GET:
Search any book, chapter, and verse and read what men like St. John Chrysostom, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Jerome, and St. Robert Bellarmine had to say about it. Not summaries. Not paraphrases. Their actual words, organized by passage.

Sources include the Catena Aurea, Cornelius a Lapide's Great Commentary, Haydock's Catholic Bible Commentary, and writings from over a dozen Church Fathers and Doctors. The commentary is generated from the actual texts of the Fathers and Doctors, not from modern paraphrases or secondary sources. Every response draws directly from the tradition of the Church.

Whether you're preparing for Mass, studying Scripture, or just trying to understand a difficult passage, you'll find serious commentary that takes the text seriously.
