SAM –stands for “Sukhumvit Asset Management Co., Ltd.” SAM is a government agency committed in restructuring non-performing loans as well as managing distressed assets to minimize loss, gain appropriate profits and return the net proceeds to the Financial Institution Development Fund (FIDF). SAM also runs the Debt Clinic project, initiated by the Bank of Thailand (BOT) by acting as an intermediary between non-collateral and credit card debtors as well as all lending banks to reach final debt resolutions. SAM is also educator of financial literacy and debt management, to help debtors adjust their savings and spending behaviors.
NPA – Non-Performing Asset, a classification of deemed defaulted loans. Generally, NPA was converted from the collateralized property of those borrowers who failed to service debts on the pre-arranged schedule.
SAM Smile App – the smartphone application facilitates the ease of finding investment in property of the company. It offers the filtered search, with the selections of types, prices and areas etc., to quickly access to the details of a preferred property. The application has an in-app geolocation positioning and map to help users find location where the property is located
