Seek them as you take a unique walk across the authentic streets of Sassari.
Also, why don’t you pay a visit to the shops hosted within historical buildings. They are part of the very fabric of the Old Town, with their antiques and old equipment, imbued with timeless know-how.
Taste the very essence of our city. Visit one of our typical restaurants, with their truly traditional cuisine ("sassarese avveru") offering of dishes deeply connected to our farming tradition. They are a “must” if you wish to fully enjoy your culinary journey.
Don’t forget to come on August 14 and follow the "Discesa dei Candelieri", also known as "Faradda di ri Candareri”, a festive parade when people display and carry huge symbolical wooden votive candlesticks through the streets of the Old Town, to make a vow to Our Lady of the Assumption and wish all fellow citizens to celebrate one hundred years of age, the typical "a zent'anni" wish.
