SAWA is Egypt's intercity carpooling community — Cairo, Alexandria, Mansoura, Tanta and beyond.
Every day, cars travel between Egyptian cities with empty seats. At the same time, other people are looking for a way to reach exactly the same place. One road, and neither knows the other is on it.
SAWA connects people already driving their own car with people heading to the same destination at the same time — so a trip that was happening anyway can carry more than one person.
Nothing is dispatched and no trip is created on demand. Every trip on SAWA is a journey someone was already making, with their empty seats offered to people going the same way.
