Scrim: Light Meter & Overlay

Match framing and light when you return to a product shoot. Scrim helps you check the live frame, save a setup and find it again. It guides the shot; capture stays with your camera.

SCENES
Save a scene with a reference frame, notes and measurements. Return to its overlay and compare horizon, tilt, light, white balance and zoom. Save one scene free. Pro adds more scenes, projects and scene sheets.

STUDIO — NEW IN 1.6.0
Try the sample free. Import a supported JPEG, PNG or HEIC photo from the system Photos or Files picker. Adjust exposure, crop to a supported ratio, rotate, compare with the original and undo or redo edits. Saved recipes keep the original unchanged. Create SDR JPEG or PNG files and choose what to share.

Personal photo imports, edits and new exports require Pro or a previous permanent tools purchase. Your existing projects and saved outputs remain accessible when editing access is unavailable. Studio can recover validated interrupted work and offers an original-copy recovery action when available. An original copy can retain location, EXIF or other private metadata; read the warning before sharing it.

FRAME AND LIGHT
Check the live frame and bright areas on your device. Frame and Light stay free. Verticals and HDR Delivery are planning tools included with Pro; HDR Delivery compares assumptions rather than inspecting a photo or measuring another display. Studio exports SDR files. Scrim is not a calibrated lux meter. The paired Apple Watch shows the iPhone’s framing decision.

PRIVATE BY CHOICE
Studio imports only the photo you select. Editing happens on your device. Scrim keeps selected originals, recipes and created files in private app storage; backups may include them. Scrim does not upload your photos to a developer server. Files are not added to Photos automatically. Sharing starts when you choose a destination.

PURCHASES
Scrim is free to download. Pro purchase options, local prices and terms appear before confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; manage them in your Apple Account settings. Restore purchases in the app. Previous paid-download and permanent-tool rights are preserved, including Verticals and Delivery.
