Ứng dụng giúp theo dõi trạng thái hoạt động cũng như vị trí của tàu thuyền đang hoạt động đánh bắt cá gần cũng như xa bờ, từ đó có thể ứng cứu kịp thời trong các trường hợp nguy cấp. Sử dụng công nghệ truyền nhận bằng sóng vệ tinh, dữ liệu sẽ được truyền và lưu ở máy chủ Khánh Hội phục vụ cho việc theo dõi cũng như xem lại trong 1 năm. Ứng dụng "GTS Tau Ca" sẽ giúp khách hàng có thể xem được dữ liệu được lưu một cách trực quan nhất.
Tự động chuyển qua hệ thống thông tin vệ tinh với tần suất 1.5 giờ/lần các thông tin: vị trí tàu (kinh độ, vĩ độ), thời gian đối với thiết bị lắp đặt trên tàu cá có chiều dài từ 24m trở lên; cảnh báo cho thuyền trưởng khi tàu vượt ranh giới cho phép trên biển. Ghi và lưu trữ dữ liệu trên thiết bị về server. Truyền toàn bộ dữ liệu về máy chủ theo quy định.
