See Today Like Never Before

See Today Like Never Before began from a personal need to recognize gratitude and to start every morning with a positive thought, bit of humor and hopefully some inspiration.

In the process, I have learned how to help those on their journey of sharing kindness, joy and service for others and themselves! For me, in 2018 my life had unexpected and life altering events (which for the most part I kept to myself) but my morning ritual of pondering a quote and finding words to express my feelings helped me tremendously. For many, every day is a struggle and now I respect those who have mastered putting on a smile and always helping others along the way! Life is meant to be lived, each day is a choice to laugh and serve others in a way to brighten their day as well. I have many friends in my life that have understood my journey, in fact sparked the fire for making my posts public. They have sent me texts and cards throughout the years to keep the fire burning and encourage me to not give up my passion of writing. I must remember the process of how I rebuilt, restructured, and reconnected the pieces of my life.

The following quote sums it up and I pray we can look past the broken pieces, glue, and imperfections in our lives.

“She is a beautiful piece of broken pottery, put back together by her own hands. And a critical world judges her cracks while missing the beauty of how she made herself whole again!”

Life is not easy, there are days I want to throw in the towel but for the most part this journey has been remarkably eye opening. My heart is softer, more generous, and not as quick to judge or become angry.

“Until and unless we make peace with our present (however it is) we will not be able to fabricate a beautiful future!”

I have found that finding peace daily is most important because the noise, chaos and difficulties will always be present. My purpose is to help others find happiness and peace by being aware and eternally grateful for their blessings, being grounded and centered as they move through the day. If I can lift just one person up each day, whether it be with my written words or in person with my own smile and caring heart, then I have succeeded in my mission.

“Value others above yourselves”- always ask yourself- How will I “lift” someone up today?
