Sequentia: MIDI Sequencer

Sequentia is a generative MIDI brain for hardware synths, drum machines and your DAW. New in 2.0 it makes sound on its own too, so you can start with nothing but the phone.
Build a rack of modules. They share one tempo and one key, and most of them write their own part, so you have music to react to instead of a blank grid.

Sound in the box, new in 2.0 and free:
· 87 sounds. 12 acid voices built on a real 303-style emulation, 67 polyphonic presets, 8 drum kits. Acid, bass, keys, plucks, pads, leads, organs, bells and more.
· Each module opens on a sound that suits it, so a rack does not come out sounding like one instrument.
· Change sounds while the pattern plays and pick by ear. A speaker button turns each module's sound on and off.
· Presets sit at the same level, so nothing jumps at you when you switch.
· Plug in MIDI gear and the phone sound steps aside, so it never doubles your synth.

Ten modules:
· Acid: 303-style bassline with slide and accent. Slides really bend pitch, on your gear and in export.
· Bass: generative bass in 15 genre styles, from acid and techno to EBM and upright.
· Drums: eight lanes, 984 grooves across 18 genres, each genre with its own swing. Techno, House, Trance, Psy, Disco, Dub, Synthwave, Pop, Rock, Lo-fi, Funk, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, R&B, UK Garage, Trip-hop and more.
· Chords: diatonic progressions in your project key. Hold them as pads, or feed an Arp.
· Arp: arpeggiates a chord, on its own or following a Chords module.
· Stabs (new in 2.0): chord hits, skank to rave. 12 styles plus Random, with a preset library.
· Piano: draw a melody by hand, or let it write one in a genre you pick.
· Rain: generative note drops, from drizzle to downpour.
· Mod: LFOs that sweep a CC on your synth. No notes, just movement.
· Mixer: solo, mute and level for any module while it plays.

Make it move:
· Random for instant, balanced patterns. Mutate to evolve a pattern while it plays.
· Fills, Humanize and Chop.
· Per-voice swing, gate, ratchet and velocity.
· Play modes: forward, reverse, ping-pong, random.
All of it reacts while the music runs, so a set can be played rather than arranged.

Built for hardware:
· Notes and CC to any MIDI device over USB-C, Bluetooth or network.
· MIDI Clock with Start/Stop to keep your rig in time.
· A virtual "Sequentia" source to record into Logic, Ableton and other DAWs.
· Per-module device and channel routing.
New in 2.0: background playback. The pattern keeps running when you leave the app, with controls on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Save your work as projects, export to .mid, and keep your own pattern and preset libraries.
