Shogi Deluxe

Arcforge Shogi Deluxe is Japanese chess made carefully: a real-time 3D board with wedge-shaped wooden pieces, a computer opponent you can trust, and everything you need to learn the game and get better.

PLAY
- Eight computer levels from first-timer to a strong amateur, plus an Adaptive level that follows your results.
- Choose Black or White, add a handicap (lance, bishop, rook and more) and an optional clock.
- Minishogi: the quick 5x5 board for short games and training.
- Two players on one device, with the board turning to face whoever moves.
- Watch & Learn: two engines play while every move is explained. Pause, step, change the speed.
- Full rules done right: drops, promotion, nifu, no pawn-drop mate, repetition, perpetual check and the impasse declaration.

LEARN
- Sixteen hands-on lessons: you make every move. Meet each piece one at a time, then promotion, drops, check, checkmate and your first tactics.
- 190 tsume (mating puzzles) in nine packs, from mate in one to mate in seven, each proven by the app's own solver. A new daily puzzle with a streak.
- Castle trainer: build Mino, Yagura and Anaguma move by move, and drill six opening lines with the reason for every move.
- A coach rates each move and draws the better one. Ask Think for a hint with a plain-English reason.
- Game review with an evaluation graph and a button that jumps to your mistakes. Copy any game as a KIF record.

BEAUTIFUL
- A warm 3D room: kaya board on turned legs, lacquered grid, lantern light and shadows.
- Piece faces in traditional brush kanji, or movement symbols that beginners can read at once.
- Five piece woods (boxwood, ebony, cherry, ivory, jade) and four boards (kaya, shin-kaya, cedar, black lacquer).
- Piece sounds synthesised on the device: the click of wood on kaya.
- Smooth portrait and landscape on phones and tablets. Text zoom up to 300% on every reading page.
