ShotMeter: Golf Shot Distance

Hit your shot, tap SHOT. Walk to your ball, tap SHOT again. That's your distance.

ShotMeter measures golf shot distance by tracking the walk from where you hit to where your ball landed. It runs on Apple Watch by itself, so you can leave your iPhone in the bag — or use the iPhone app on its own. No course downloads, no subscription, no account.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Tap SHOT where you hit
2. Watch the distance count up live as you walk
3. Tap SHOT at your ball — the distance is saved and the next measurement starts automatically (chain measuring)
4. Tap END when you finish the hole

FEATURES
- Per-club averages: pick a club before you hit and History shows the average and longest for each club. See your average for the selected club before you swing
- Elevation change: uphill/downhill is measured with the barometric altimeter and shown with your distance (on devices with a barometer)
- Your confirmed distance appears big right away
- Yards or meters, with big numbers that are easy to read outdoors
- Launch instantly from a watch face complication
- On Apple Watch, measuring runs as a golf workout, so it keeps going with your wrist down. Rounds of 10 minutes or longer are saved to Health as a golf workout
- ShotMeter lets you know when Precise Location is turned off

ACCURACY
Distances come from GPS, so treat them as a guide. Dual-frequency GPS on Apple Watch Ultra is typically within ±2–4 yd; other models typically within ±5–10 yd.

FREE AND PRO
- Measuring and live distance are free, as often as you like
- The free version saves one round per day to History

PRIVACY
Your location and shot data are processed and stored on your device only and are never uploaded. No ads, no account.
Note: History is stored separately on Apple Watch and iPhone (no sync between devices).
