Most Sudoku races give each player their own copy of the puzzle and time who finishes first. Simply Sudoku puts you both on the same board. Every number you get right locks into place on your opponent's board — and every one they get locks on yours. You're not just solving faster. You're racing for the board itself.

ONE BOARD, TWO PLAYERS
• Solve a cell to claim it. It locks on your opponent's board, so it's yours.
• Get one at the same moment and it counts for both of you.
• Wrong numbers stay on your side, unseen — there's no guessing your way to a lock.
• Hints and the coach step aside during a match. It's just you, them, and the board.
• Choose the difficulty, whether candidates start filled in, and whether to show who owns each cell.
