Skeinery

Skeinery is a row counter and project log for knitting and crochet. Count rows, keep a photo and notes for each project, and, with a one-time unlock, keep track of your yarn stash. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

COUNT ROWS
• Give a project more than one named counter, each with its own step and an optional target.
• Undo your latest + or − on the counter at the top of the project screen.
• Set rows per repeat and a number of repeats, and the counter shows which repeat you're on and which row of it.
• Pin a project to the small or medium widget and count its first counter from the widget without opening the app.
• Add rows to a named counter from the Shortcuts app.
• Open Progress on a project to see the rows counted in the app each day for the last 30 days; counts from the widget or the Shortcuts app aren't included.

PROJECTS
Record each project's craft (knit or crochet), its status (Active, Finished or Frogged), a photo and notes.

ONE-TIME UNLOCK (IN-APP PURCHASE)
One purchase, not a subscription, adds:
• Unlimited projects. Without the unlock, adding a third project opens the unlock screen.
• Yarn stash with photos: brand, colorway, dye lot, weight, yardage, quantity, notes and a photo for each skein.
• PDF and CSV export: a CSV file of all your projects, counters and stash, and a one-page PDF of a project with its counters and notes.
Restore the purchase from Settings on any device signed in to your Apple Account.

SYNCS THROUGH YOUR OWN ICLOUD
Skeinery saves everything on your device and syncs it through your private iCloud to your other iPhone or iPad that has Skeinery and is signed in to the same Apple Account. Sync is included whether or not you buy the unlock. Photos use your iCloud storage. Without iCloud (signed out, switched off or offline), Skeinery works the same on your device; it just doesn't sync.

Sync isn't instant, and it doesn't merge edits. If the same detail, such as a row count or a title, is changed on two devices before they sync, one change replaces the other: two devices that each add a row to a count of 10 end at 11, not 12.

NO ACCOUNT, NO PHOTO-LIBRARY PROMPT
The purchase and sync both use the Apple Account already on your device. Photos are chosen with the system photo picker, so Skeinery doesn't ask for access to your photo library.
