Description
Last night is still on your face. Barewake is a morning skin journal: one bare-faced photograph a day, and a written reading of what changed, measured against your own recent mornings and nobody else's.
HOW A MORNING WORKS Open the app, and the camera lines your shot up against yesterday's, so angle, distance and light stay comparable from one morning to the next. Your photograph is read once and a short reading is written for you: what the frame shows under the eyes, across the cheeks, in the warmth of the colour, set beside what you logged about the night before. It reads like a note from someone who has seen every one of your mornings, because it has.
YOUR OWN NUMBERS, NOT A SCORE There is no rating and no ideal. After two mornings the figures begin, and every figure is how far today sits from the middle value of your own last seven mornings, up or down and nothing else. Six observations are followed: puffiness, under-eye, clarity, surface, warmth and recovery. A change measured against a single day is not a change, so the app waits until it has something to compare.
THE EVENING LOG Tap what the night had in it: a salty dinner, a late screen, a drink, broken sleep, the period chip. Keep a shelf of the products you use and log when you try something new. A trial compares the fourteen mornings after you start against the twenty-eight days before. A pattern shows only once it has five mornings with a chip and ten without, and both counts stay on screen beside it. When two things ran over the same mornings, the app says it cannot tell them apart rather than picking one.
THE CYCLE LAYER Worked out backwards from the days you tapped the period chip, on your phone. Barewake reads nothing from Apple Health and asks for no health permission. It describes mornings that already happened, never a forecast.
LOOK BACK Compare any two mornings side by side, play your record as a time-lapse, and share a card when you want to. A small library covers what people try for a tired face, from sleep and cold to the side you slept on, with what the research shows and what it does not.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no email, no analytics. Your journal, your baseline and every pattern are worked out on your phone. Each morning photograph is sent once, with your consent, to an AI service that reads the frame and writes your reading. We keep no copy. The provider removes it within the hour and within thirty days, and it is never used to train anything. Delete your photographs or everything from Settings at any time.
WHAT IT IS NOT Barewake is not a medical device. A camera sees light, not condition, and nothing here is a diagnosis. It does not detect, treat or prevent any condition. If something on your skin concerns you, ask a doctor rather than an app.
SUBSCRIPTION Barewake needs a subscription. Answer fifteen short questions and read your first reading before you decide. Choose a yearly or a weekly plan; the current offer and prices are shown in the app in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase or when a free trial ends. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least twenty-four hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings at any time.
