Skinventry: Ingredient Checker

Know what you're buying.

Take a photo of anything you buy, a skincare bottle, a shirt label, a box of cereal, a pair of shoes, and Skinventry shows you what's in it and who's behind it.

SEE THE PRODUCT

Ingredients and materials, the claims printed on the package, certifications, and where it's made.

SEE THE COMPANY

Who owns the brand, all the way to the top, with official logos you can tap through. Open any company to see its history, the brands it owns, and how it operates.

THE PRODUCT, NOT JUST THE COMPANY

Search a product and see what's in it, what's on the package, and any lawsuits, recalls or regulator actions that name that product, before the company's full record.

SEE THE EVIDENCE

Recalls and safety alerts, regulator actions and court cases, labor and environmental records, and both positive and critical reporting. Every fact links to its source, and every source is labeled by who is speaking: the company about itself, a government record, or an independent source.

NO SCORES, NO VERDICTS

Skinventry doesn't rate products or tell you what to think. It shows the public record, including what it couldn't find, and you decide what matters. Pick the topics you care about, like ownership, labor, allergens or animal testing, and they lead every lookup.

MADE FOR YOU

Tell Skinventry your name, your allergies, the ingredients you avoid and the certifications you look for, or just say it in your own words. Every lookup checks for them on your phone and flags what the record shows, with the source.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Who owns it, what's in it and the full record usually take under a minute. You can leave while it researches: it keeps going, waits in your Library, and can send you a notification when it's ready. Anything someone has already looked up opens instantly.

NO BARCODE NEEDED

Skinventry reads the brand and name printed on the product, its packaging or its label. Or just type a name.

MORE

Save products and build collections. Follow companies. Compare two products side by side, with no winner. Search any brand or company. Share what you find. Light and dark mode.

YOUR DATA

Your photos stay on your phone. To identify a product, a photo is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, and is not kept. No sign up needed. If you say yes, Skinventry saves what you search, with your name and email if you add them, to run and improve the app. We never sell it, and you can turn it off and delete it anytime.

Your first two searches are free, each with the full record. Skinventry Pro includes 30 searches a month, and anything you've already searched opens again free. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
