Sommy - Wine Coach

Wine school without the snobbery — and without the exam. Beginner to genuinely knowing your wine: 8 courses + hands-on tasting practice, in plain English, at your pace.

Wine learning got locked behind formality. Stiff courses, expensive certificates, jargon, exams, French villages to memorize. None of that ever taught anyone to actually enjoy a glass.

Sommy is the friendly way through. A real, complete wine education — no classroom, no exam, no snobbery — that still teaches you every part of wine, properly.

LEARN WINE, START TO FINISH — 8 INTERACTIVE COURSES
The backbone. Structured, comprehensive, bite-size — 5 to 10 minutes at a time, at your own pace.
→ Wine 101 — 32 lessons on the fundamentals
→ France, Italy, Spain, Germany, California — regions, grapes, and styles
→ Sparkling Wines — how the bubbles actually happen
→ Food Pairing — what goes with what, and why
Real lessons with images, diagrams, and 8 kinds of quizzes. The whole journey, from "I just like red" to genuinely knowing wine.

GOT A GLASS IN HAND? PRACTICE ON IT
This is where it clicks. Snap the label, Sommy works out what you're drinking, then coaches you through tasting it like a pro would — minus the performance.
→ Color, then Nose (tap the aromas you catch), then Palate (slide what you feel)
→ Warm, honest feedback against a pro's profile — what you nailed, what to chase next
→ An Exploration Depth score (0–100) so you can watch your palate grow

KEEP TRACK, WATCH YOURSELF LEVEL UP
→ Tasting journal — photos, notes, and ratings in a grid, feed, or calendar; search and filter the lot
→ Insights — your accuracy trend, top aromas, top countries, wine-type breakdown, plus a short read on your palate from Sommy
→ XP, levels, and daily streaks to keep the habit going, five minutes at a time
