SoundMeter: dBA Noise Log

Understand the sound around you and keep a record of each measurement. SoundMeter combines live readings, a trend chart and local history with optional noise dose and camera tools.

• View estimated cumulative noise dose during the measured period using NIOSH or OSHA HC settings.
• Take photos with the sound reading and capture time written into the image.
• Record videos with changing sound readings embedded in the picture and sound from the scene. Each recording is limited to five minutes.
• Save or share completed photos and videos through system controls.

CALIBRATION AND CLEAR STATUS
A reference sound level meter is required for manual calibration. Without a matching calibration profile, SoundMeter displays input level in dBFS, not environmental dBA, and does not calculate noise dose. Paused, interrupted or invalid input is excluded from valid measurement time. Measurement pauses when the app goes into the background or the screen locks.

FREE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIONAL PRO
Basic measurement, statistics, trends and basic record saving are available without a subscription. Pro unlocks noise dose and photo/video capture with embedded readings. Weekly, monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscription options are available; prices and billing periods are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation. Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Previously saved records and finished media remain accessible after a subscription expires.

No account is required. Measurement records and captured media are stored locally on your device. Ordinary measurements do not save raw audio; video records sound only when you choose to record.

SoundMeter provides estimated environmental noise readings for reference and recording. Results depend on the device, input route, calibration and measurement conditions. It is not a certified sound level meter and does not provide medical advice or regulatory compliance conclusions. Noise dose covers only the valid measured period, not your full day.
