Place sound sources on the walls, floor, and ceiling around you — then watch their sound waves travel, bounce, and interfere in real space. It’s a hands-on way to see what you normally only hear.
HOW IT WORKS
• Scan your room. Look around so Apple Vision Pro can map your surroundings with LiDAR. A subtle wireframe appears across walls, floor, and ceiling as the geometry comes in.
• Tap to place a source. Tap any surface to drop a spatial audio emitter at that point. It immediately begins playing a tone from that exact location, anchored to the real world.
• Watch the waves. Each source emits a steady stream of glowing wave particles that travel outward at a fixed visual speed and physically bounce off the room mesh — just like sound reflecting off real surfaces.
• Find the interference. When waves from two different sources meet, a small white flash marks the cancellation node — a visual stand-in for the constructive and destructive interference patterns that shape every room’s acoustics.
• Tune everything live. Select any source to change its color or sweep its frequency from 80 Hz to 1200 Hz. The audio and the visualization update in real time.
WHO IT’S FOR
• Curious listeners who want to finally see how sound behaves in their actual living room, studio, or office.
• Audio engineers, producers, and home-studio owners exploring standing waves, reflection points, and speaker placement.
• Educators and students studying wave physics, acoustics, or spatial audio design — a tangible visualization beats a textbook diagram.
• AR & spatial computing enthusiasts who want a demo that genuinely could not exist on any other platform.
FEATURES
• Real-time LiDAR scene reconstruction with a clean wireframe overlay
• True spatial audio rendered from the placed location of each source
• Up to 6 simultaneous sources, each independently tunable
• Physics-driven wave particles that bounce off real walls, floor, and ceiling
• Live interference visualization where waves from different sources collide
• Per-source frequency slider (80 Hz – 1200 Hz) and color picker
• Independent toggles for spatial audio and the wave visualization
• Built-in “How it works” guide accessible at any time
PRIVACY
Spatial Audio Mapper uses the room scan only to render visuals and bounce wave particles inside your current session. Nothing is recorded, uploaded, or shared. No account, no analytics, no tracking.
Open the immersive space, tap a wall, and start mapping the sound of the room you’re sitting in.
