Spolia: Art Collage

One artwork can be the beginning of another.

Spolia is a space to discover art and turn it into personal collages on your iPhone or iPad. Explore museum collections, find a detail that inspires you, and bring it onto your own canvas.

DISCOVER
Search for artworks by title or artist and explore the available collections. Save your favorites to return to when an idea comes along.

CROP
Zoom into each image and choose the fragment you want to use. Adjust the framing and, on supported devices, use smart subject cutouts.

COMPOSE
Combine fragments on a canvas. Move, rotate, resize, duplicate, and arrange layers. Try different compositions with undo and redo.

SAVE AND SHARE
Organize your studies in Library and return to them later. Export your composition as a PNG image, save it to Photos, or share it with other apps using the system share sheet.

YOUR SPACE, ON YOUR DEVICE
No account, ads, or subscriptions. Your studies and downloaded fragments are stored locally. Searching for artworks and downloading new images requires an internet connection; there is no cross-device sync.

Available in Spanish and English. Smart cutout features depend on device and operating system compatibility. Artworks available for creating are selected according to reuse information provided by their sources.
