App Permissions & Third-Party Services:

Privacy & Permissions (Optional, but Recommended)

Squanto does not require microphone or speech recognition access to function, but these permissions are needed to use voice input. Your data is processed locally whenever possible and remains private and secure.
If access is denied, voice input will be unavailable. You can still enter text manually using the keyboard.

OpenAI Integration (Optional, but Recommended)

Squanto supports integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API.
Users must supply their own API key. All interactions are processed directly via OpenAI, and usage is subject to OpenAI’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services (Optional)

Squanto uses its own proprietary dictionary files for offline translations, while also offering optional integration with the following online lookup services to enhance and enrich definitions:
