Description
Every photo tells you where. StatSnap tells you where, which way, how high, and how fast.
StatSnap is a camera that writes your live sensor readings straight into the picture. Frame the shot, tap the shutter, and your coordinates, compass direction, altitude and speed are burned into the photo itself — at full camera resolution, not stamped onto a screenshot.
What lands in the frame
• Location — your latitude and longitude, to four decimal places • Direction — the cardinal heading you were facing, plus exact degrees • Altitude — height above sea level • Speed — how fast you were moving when you took the shot
Readings appear live on the preview, so you always know what the finished photo will say before you take it. Units follow your device settings automatically — feet and mph, or metres and km/h.
Full-resolution photos, not screenshots
Most stat-overlay cameras capture your screen, which caps the result at the size of your display. StatSnap never reads the screen. The stats are composited directly into the camera's own capture at its native resolution — up to 12 megapixels — and the text is drawn as true vector type, so it stays crisp at any size. Print it, crop it, zoom in: the numbers hold up.
Fast enough to keep shooting
The whole capture pipeline was rebuilt for speed. From tap to finished photo now takes roughly a third of a second on recent hardware — less than half what it used to. The shutter gives you an instant flash the moment you tap, so the camera feels like a camera.
Make it yours
• Pick the banner colour and text colour from a five-colour palette • Dial the banner opacity from solid to barely-there • Front and rear cameras, portrait and landscape — the overlay scales to fit either, in the same proportion every time • Tap anywhere on the preview to focus
Every shot saved and ready to share
Finished photos go straight to your photo library and open in the share sheet, so they're one tap from Messages, Mail, Instagram or anywhere else — and they're safely saved whether you share them or not.

About permissions
StatSnap explains every permission before asking for it, and you stay in control. The camera is required. Location powers the coordinates, altitude and speed readings — skip it and the photo still works, those fields just read N/A. Photo library access is add-only: StatSnap can save your new photos and nothing else. It cannot see, read or touch the photos already in your library.
StatSnap doesn't track you. Your location is used to draw the numbers on your photo and for nothing else.
