Description
Where did it hurt, when, and how bad? Tap the spot on a body map, or just tell Siri. Show one clean summary to your doctor at the next visit. Symptom Memo turns "I don't feel well" into a record you can actually look back on.
◆ Three ways to log. The worse you feel, the easier it gets.
BODY MAP Tap a body silhouette to drop a pin exactly where it hurts. Switch between front and back, so "the right side of my head" or "my lower left back" is saved as a place, not a guess. Pain that is hard to put into words becomes something you can see.
SYMPTOM ONLY For nausea, diarrhea, and anything where the symptom matters more than the spot. Skip the body map and log it in seconds.
SIRI Too sore to open the app? Just say it. - "Log a symptom. Headache." - "Log a symptom. Headache, level 2." Leave the level out and it is saved as level 3.
◆ Doctor visit summary. Never freeze up at "when did it start?"
Symptom Memo organizes frequency, severity, location, and what helped into one screen you can hand to your doctor. No more trying to remember it all in the exam room.
◆ Log the details that matter
- Severity on a 5-level scale - Body temperature, saved with the symptom and charted over time - Categories: Pain / Nausea / Fatigue / Itchiness / Discomfort / Other - Duration from 15 minutes to 12 hours, in one tap - Possible triggers: Lack of sleep / Stress / After eating / Alcohol / Post-exercise / Weather / Menstruation / Unknown - Add your own symptoms and triggers, up to 3 each - Free-text notes for anything else
◆ Track what you tried, and what actually helped
Took medicine, lay down, applied heat or cold, drank water, went to the doctor. Log what you did, then the result: Improved / Slightly improved / No change / Got worse. "That medicine worked." "Heat made it easier." Find the remedies that work for your body, in your own records.
◆ Look back, and notice the pattern
- Daily review: symptoms, remedies, and lifestyle data for any day - Heat map: see where symptoms cluster on your body over a period - Trend analysis: automatic patterns in timing and frequency for the same area - Remedy effectiveness: how many times each remedy led to improvement - Calendar: color-coded symptom days, so you can see the rhythm of your health
◆ Compare with the data you already have
Connect Apple Health and see how symptom days differ from the rest. - Sleep duration - Step count - Resting heart rate "I sleep 30 minutes less on symptom days." "Low-step days are the days I feel worse." Insights that come from your data, not from guesswork.
◆ For the people you care for
- Add family members and log symptoms for your child or partner - Send an invite link to share records with family "They have felt feverish since yesterday." "They complained about that same spot before." Their health changes become clear records too.
◆ Built to stay private
- No account required. Start logging the moment you download - Works fully offline. Your symptom data stays on your device - iCloud backup and restore, so a new phone is no problem - Follow-up reminders so you do not forget to log
◆ Great for
- Recurring headaches, back pain, or any chronic condition - Describing symptoms accurately at a doctor visit - Making sense of unexplained health issues - Parents tracking a child or family member - Anyone curious how sleep and activity affect how they feel
