SzewMate

Prepare for your U.S. visa interview with realistic practice, personalized feedback, and greater confidence.

SzewMate is an AI-powered mock visa interview app created by a U.S. immigration attorney, Andrea Szew, with more than 20 years of experience. It is designed to help you experience the pressure of a visa interview, practice answering clearly, and identify areas you may need to improve before your appointment.

PRACTICE A REALISTIC MOCK INTERVIEW

Complete mock interviews tailored to your visa category and the information you provide about your personal circumstances. SzewMate asks questions designed to help you practice discussing topics that may arise during a U.S. visa interview.

ANSWER BY VOICE OR TEXT

Choose the practice method that works best for you. Speak your answers aloud to become more comfortable responding verbally, or type your answers when you want to focus carefully on what you are communicating.

PRACTICE UNDER REALISTIC TIME PRESSURE

Visa interviews can move quickly. Your answers are timed to help simulate the pace and pressure of an actual interview. The Mate timer helps you see how much time you are using so you can practice giving answers that are clear, focused, and responsive without unnecessarily oversharing.

RECEIVE PERSONALIZED ANALYSIS

After you finish the mock interview, SzewMate analyzes each of your answers and provides feedback to help you understand:

• What you communicated well
• Whether your answer was clear and responsive
• Where your answer may need more explanation
• Whether you included unnecessary information
• How you may be able to improve your response

The goal is not to memorize a script or produce a “perfect” answer. It is to help you understand your own circumstances and communicate truthful answers more clearly and confidently.

SEE YOUR SCORE AND INTERVIEW SUMMARY

When the interview is complete, you receive an overall performance score and a personalized summary of your interview. Review your strengths, identify areas that may require additional preparation, and decide what you should focus on during your next practice session.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Complete additional mock interviews, review your previous results, and continue practicing as your interview approaches. Repeated practice can help you become more familiar with the interview experience and more comfortable answering questions in your own words.

PRACTICE FOR MULTIPLE VISA CATEGORIES

SzewMate provides mock interview practice for applicants seeking:

• B-1/B-2 visitor visas
• F student visas
• H employment visas
• Dependent visas

WHY SZEWMATE?

Many applicants spend substantial time gathering documents but do not spend enough time practicing how they will explain their plans, background, employment, education, travel, finances, or personal circumstances during the interview.

SzewMate allows you to practice before the real appointment so you can recognize vague, incomplete, confusing, or overly long answers while you still have time to improve.

CREATED WITH REAL IMMIGRATION EXPERIENCE

SzewMate was founded and created by U.S. immigration attorney Andrea Szew, who has more than 20 years of experience helping individuals and businesses navigate the U.S. immigration process.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
