Tabla One is your hands-on companion for exploring and learning the tabla — the paired hand drums at the heart of North Indian classical music.
BOL LIBRARY
Meet the individual strokes (bols) that make up tabla vocabulary — Dha, Dhin, Na, Tin, Ge, and more. Tap an interactive drum diagram to hear each bol played on the zone where it's actually struck, or browse the full list with technique notes for every stroke.
TAAL PRACTICE
Practice classic rhythmic cycles — Teentaal, Keherwa, Rupak, and Dadra — with a visual beat grid and the theka phrase highlighting in sync with the audio, so you always know exactly where the pulse is. Adjust tempo freely, and toggle natural "humanized" timing on or off.
LESSONS
A guided path from posture and individual bols to playing a full theka, with inline audio for every stroke and taal referenced along the way.
SEQUENCER
Build your own bol sequences step by step. Set velocity per step, randomize patterns, add swing, reverb, and humanize, then loop your creation. Load a classic taal as a starting point and edit it freely, or start from scratch. Save your patterns to a personal library, and export as a Standard MIDI File or a rendered audio recording.
Tabla One works entirely offline and collects no personal data — see our Privacy Policy for details.
