BUILT FOR REAL FILES
• Opens CSV, TSV, and plain text, and detects the encoding, separator, quote style, decimal mark, and header row from the bytes.
• Edit cells, add and delete rows and columns, rename headers, and reorder rows or columns by dragging.
• Sort by any column, filter rows with multiple criteria, and copy or paste a range as TSV.
• Undo and redo cover cell edits, structure changes, paste, and format changes.
• Save or export with another separator, encoding, quote style, decimal mark, or header setting.
• Encodings include UTF-8/16/32, MacRoman, Windows Latin 1 and 2, GBK, ISO Latin 2, Cyrillic, Greek, Turkish, and Japanese.
LARGE FILES ARE A MODE, NOT A WARNING
Files at or above the large file threshold (100 MiB by default) are memory-mapped and indexed in the background. Rows appear at once, scrolling stays smooth, and cell edits still work with undo. In the Mac app on Apple silicon, a tested 5 GiB file with 77.7 million rows was fully indexed 2.7 seconds after opening and used about 91 MB of memory. In this mode, sorting, structural edits, Duplicate, export, and the decimal mark are unavailable; saving streams the file with progress and a Cancel button.
THE SAME EDITOR ON IPHONE, IPAD, AND MAC
The iOS app has a touch-first grid with a keyboard accessory bar, contextual actions for rows and columns, and format and filter sheets. The Mac app uses a native AppKit grid with a format bar, row numbers, drag and drop, and a Settings window. Both share the same CSV core and the same detection rules.
