Pick a process, pick a thickness. Tack gives you amperage, voltage, wire feed speed, travel speed, shielding gas and stickout — in two taps, with no Calculate button anywhere.
SHOWS ITS WORK
Every number opens to the arithmetic that produced it: the formula, your numbers substituted into it, and where the value came from. Nothing is reconstructed for display.
IT REFUSES RATHER THAN GUESS
Ask for spray transfer in a vertical position and it says no, and says why. Past the range a rule of thumb is honest over, it stops instead of extrapolating. That is the whole point of the tool.
THE CALCULATORS
• Weld settings — amps, volts, wire speed, gas, travel
• Fillet weld sizing — throat, code minimums, capacity
• Heat input and arc energy, both conventions
• Wire feed speed and the burnoff constant, both directions
• Duty cycle, deposition rate, consumable and job cost
• Weld group as a line, material weight, hardness conversion
• Shrinkage and distortion, cutting settings, unit converter
• Carbon equivalent, stainless metallurgy and ferrite number
• Electrode classification decoder and welding symbols
• Tungsten, shielding gas, lens shades, filler metal selector
PIPE FITTING
• Pipe offsets: travel, run and cut length, simple or rolling
• Miter elbow: cut angle, segment lengths, cut-back table
• Branch saddle: cut depths around a tee or lateral branch
• Elbows & spool cut (ASME B16.9, ГОСТ 17375): elbow take-outs and the pipe to cut
• Flanges (Pro; ASME B16.5 Class 150/300, ГОСТ 33259 PN 10–40): dimensions, bolt holes and take-off
THE REFERENCE
Defects with cause and correction. Visual acceptance limits by loading case. Joints and preparation. Positions. Metal identification. Heat-affected zone. Safety — fume, hot work, confined space, protective equipment. A plain glossary.
FREE, PERMANENTLY
Carbon steel settings, the symbol decoder, fillet sizing, heat input, the gas guide and every page about safety are free and always will be. So is the arithmetic behind every number, including inside a tool you are only previewing.
WORKS IN THE SHOP
Everything runs in airplane mode. Calculations never leave the phone. Twenty-two languages, imperial and metric.
Starting parameters and reference data. A qualified procedure, the governing code and the engineer of record govern — verify on a coupon before production work.
