Planning made easy. For Singles, Couples, and Friends in college.
Tango is the planning app for students who want real connections and real dates, not endless swiping. Every profile is a verified student, every date happens at a real local spot, and your friends are built right in to keep it fun and safe. Not ready to date yet? Start with your friends and switch to a dating profile anytime.
THREE WAYS TO USE TANGO
• Singles: Ask someone out to a real place. They pick the time, and your date is set.
• Couples: Plan date nights together, from the day and time to the spot, in one place.
• Friends: Plan nights out with your group, no dating required. Switch to dating whenever you're ready.
ASK THEM OUT, NOT JUST "HEY"
See someone you like? Send a date invite to a spot you both like, or to an event happening around town, and add a note if you want. They choose a time you're both free, and that's it: the date is on the calendar and your chat opens. Keep up to three invites out at once, with no weekly deadline. Every invite starts with a real plan, so there's no "we should hang out sometime."
SMART MATCHING, NOT RANDOM SWIPING
Tango's compatibility engine looks at your interests, personality, lifestyle, major, campus involvement, music taste, and schedule to put your best fits first. Every profile shows a compatibility score, so you always know why they showed up. See who's active now, and tap Show fewer like this to tune your feed.
WHAT'S ON AROUND TOWN
Explore has an Events tab, and Home shows what's on today. Mark what you're interested in, add it to your calendar, share it with friends, or turn it into a date or a group hangout in one tap.
THE DATE, START TO FINISH
Browse a curated guide to local venues with hours, pricing, vibe, dress code, and real reviews from students. Check in together when you arrive, and your date's page puts who you're meeting front and center. Afterward, tell us privately how it went. Your date never sees your answers, and if you both want a second date, we'll let you both know.
FRIENDS & GROUP PLANS
Dating's a team sport, and Tango keeps your crew close.
• Plan a night out together with group plans, then vote on the time so everyone can actually make it
• Turn any event into a hangout: the name, time, and place fill in for you
• Start a private, invite-only group chat
• Find people you know with People You May Know and Find Friends
• Drop a match's profile and get real opinions from people who know you
• Post a Date Recap with a rating and the full debrief
SAFETY SHARE, YOUR FRIENDS HAVE YOUR BACK
Before any date, share your live location with your friend group for up to 8 hours. Friends see exactly where you are on a live map, and one tap sends an instant SOS to your whole group. Your location deletes automatically when the share ends. If your date doesn't show up, report it right from your date's page.
YOUR PROFILE, YOUR WHOLE STORY
Built for how students actually live:
• Record a voice-note intro
• Connect Spotify or Apple Music to show your top artists and genres
• Share your major, year, organizations, and living situation
• Pin your favorite local spots
• Let Tango's AI turn your onboarding into a bio that actually sounds like you, then edit it however you like
COUPLES MODE
Already found your person? Plan a date start to finish: pick the day and time, then the spot. Let Tango surprise you, swipe on spots together, play a game, or search. Your partner can say sounds good or suggest another time or place. Turn on Mystery Mode to reveal each other's tastes one date at a time, keep your date-night streak alive, and save every memory in a private shared scrapbook.
VERIFIED STUDENTS ONLY
Look for the verified badge. Tango confirms real students on real campuses, so you spend less time guessing and more time connecting with people who are who they say they are.
Start with a night out or start dating. Either way, you just show up.
Tango is designed for users 18 and older.
