TankLog: Aquascape

Built by an aquascaper, for aquascapers.

TankLog is a free freshwater aquarium journal for planted tank and shrimp hobbyists. No login. No subscription. Completely offline — your data stays on your device, nothing ever sent to a server.

Built for the people who track CO₂ levels, obsess over KH and GH for their neocaridina colony, and want to know when their nitrates started creeping up — not a generic fish app trying to cover everything.

WATER TESTING & PARAMETER TRENDS
Log pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, KH, GH, phosphate (PO₄), TDS, and temperature. Every reading is graded instantly against your custom target ranges. Parameter Trends charts every test over time, making it easy to spot slow pH drifts, creeping nitrates, or KH swings before they affect your plants or livestock. Each parameter page shows your previous reading alongside recommended ranges.

CO₂ ESTIMATION
TankLog calculates dissolved CO₂ from your pH and KH readings and displays the result as a color-coded zone — very low, low, ideal, high, or at risk. Essential for high-tech planted tanks where CO₂ directly drives plant growth.

CARE SCHEDULES & ACTIVITY CALENDAR
Build a maintenance schedule for water tests, water changes, filter cleans, fertilizer dosing, feeding, and more. TankLog sends push notifications when tasks are due and flags overdue items on your home dashboard. The Activity Calendar shows your full care history and upcoming due dates in one view — tap any overdue item to jump straight to the log form.

DOSING & FERTILIZER TRACKING
Log every fertilizer, mineral supplement, and treatment — with product, amount, and date. Set dosing schedules and track exactly what went into your tank and when.

WATER CHANGES, FEEDING & CLEANING
Log water changes with volume and percentage. Log feedings with species tags and multiple schedules. Log cleaning tasks — filter maintenance, substrate work, glass cleaning — each with its own schedule and history.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Earn badges for consistent water testing, on-time care schedules, and overall water quality grades. Tap any badge to see how you earned it, when your streak started, and how to keep it going.

EQUIPMENT & LIVESTOCK
Record every piece of equipment — lighting, filtration, CO₂ system, heater, pumps. Log fish, invertebrates, and plants with dates added and notes.

MULTIPLE TANKS
Manage up to 3 tanks, each with its own independent parameters, schedules, livestock records, and history. Switch between them with one tap.

YOUR DATA, YOUR WAY
Export your complete tank history as JSON anytime. Import it back on the same device or a new one. No cloud dependency. No account to lose access to. Your data is yours, always.

No AI gimmick. No subscription. No paywall. Just a well-built, honest tool from someone who loves this hobby as much as you do. Free forever.
