Tarn: Ebook Reader for EPUB

Tarn is a simple, quiet ebook reader. Open a book, pick up where you left off, and nothing gets in the way.

READS WHAT YOU HAVE
• EPUB, PDF and CBZ comics
• FB2, MOBI, AZW3, TXT, RTF and HTML, converted to EPUB once on import
• Import files or whole folders, open books from other apps, or link a folder in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or on a USB drive and read in place

YOUR LIBRARY, IN ORDER
• Opens with what you're reading, what you read lately and what's new
• Browse by author, series, shelf, genre or language; authors A–Z by surname, however a book writes the name
• Divide any list by author, series, shelf, genre or reading state, as covers or a list
• Shelves you make yourself; select several books at once to shelve, finish or delete them

MADE FOR READING
• Five themes – Paper, Sepia, Sage, Dusk and Night – that follow light and dark mode
• Fonts, size, line spacing, margins, justification and hyphenation; paged or scrolling
• Two-page spreads on iPad in landscape
• Dim the screen below the system minimum for reading in bed
• Footnotes open in a popup, and a Back button takes you home after any link
• Real page numbers when the book has them, and time left in the chapter
• Your place is kept by the words on screen: rotating or a new font size never moves you a page

UNDERSTAND AND REMEMBER
• Long-press a word for the offline English dictionary: pronunciation, meanings, examples, synonyms
• Every word you look up is saved, with flashcards to review them and export for Anki
• Highlights in four colors, notes, and bookmarks that land on the exact words
• Search the whole book, ignoring case and accents

LISTEN
• Read aloud with your device's voices, sentence by sentence, even with the screen locked
• It picks up at the exact sentence where it stopped

YOUR DEVICES, IN SYNC
• Books, reading positions, bookmarks, highlights, shelves and reading stats sync through your own iCloud – no account, no server
• Stats show how long you read on each device

AND MORE
• Free classics from Project Gutenberg and Standard Ebooks, one tap into your library
• Reading stats for every book: a calendar of the days you read it with the minutes of each, total time, pace and your best days
• Overall stats, reading speed and an optional daily goal
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widget that continues your current book
• English and Czech
