TBCApp, baseado na base de dados da Tabela Brasileira de Composição de Alimentos (TBCA), apresenta informações sobre a composição centesimal (umidade, proteínas, lipídios, carboidratos, cinzas e energia), as vitaminas A e C, cálcio, ferro e sódio, de 3.500 alimentos (1.600 a mais que a versão anterior), incluindo crus e cozidos, produtos manufaturados e pratos compostos. Permite a busca por alimento, grupo do alimento, tipo do alimento e por componente. Também é possível fazer a avaliação energética de uma refeição.
