The FoodXChange

FoodXChange turns your extra groceries into a neighbor’s next meal — for free.

Bought too much? Garden overflowing? Pantry stuffed with things you’ll never finish? Instead of letting good food go to waste, share it with the people on your block.

FoodXChange is a free, community-run app for giving away and picking up surplus food ingredients — fresh produce, bread, eggs, herbs, pantry staples and more. No money ever changes hands. Everything is free.

How it works
• Share in seconds — snap a photo, set how much you have and a pickup window, and post it.
• Discover what’s nearby — browse a live map and feed of ingredients shared around you.
• Reserve in one tap — claim an item and get a simple pickup code.
• Coordinate easily — message the neighbor and arrange a friendly handoff.

Why neighbors love it
• 100% free — it’s about rescuing food and meeting people, not making money.
• Local — everything is within walking distance.
• Less waste — every ingredient shared is a meal that didn’t end up in the bin.
• Community — build your reputation and get to know the people who feed each other.

Join the FoodXChange and turn “too much food” into something good. Ending hunger, one exchange at a time.
