Description by Rickard Paulsson (from the App Store)

The Lettervan has English and Swedish language support.

Listen to phonemes and practice spelling. Overcome thorny vines, hangry monsters and dark clouds - featuring unique animations for every word you spell.

Suitable for children aged 4 and up, who already have a basic understanding of what the individual letters sound like.

Players are encouraged to write words by combining letters and listening carefully to their phonemes (letter sounds). The ability to identify phonemes in spoken language is related to proficiency in both pronunciation and writing.

ADVICE
Listening carefully to phonemes is a demanding task for children who have just started to learn how to read and write. It's a good idea to take a break from the game if the child is placing the letters randomly, without listening to their sounds.
