Third Place - Meet Up

There's home. There's work. And then there's the place where life actually happens.

Third Place is the app for spontaneous, real-world get-togethers with the people you actually know. No strangers. No algorithms deciding who you should meet. Just you, your friends, and a place to be.

Ping Friends Instantly
See a coffee shop that has your name on it? Ping your crew in seconds. Choose who gets the invite, set a time, drop a pin, and go. No group chat chaos. No "wait, what time?" Just a simple, direct invitation to show up.

See What's Happening Near You
The map tab shows live events pinned around you: meetups your friends have created, happening now or soon. Tap a pin to see the details and RSVP. Being nearby has never felt this useful.

Save the Places You Love, Share Them with Friends
Found a great spot? Save it to a list. The new Lists tab is your home for favorite places, with collaborative lists you can share with specific friends or all of them at once. Great for "brunch spots," "hidden gems," or the ongoing "we have to try this" list. Tap any map pin to add it, then plan an event there in one step.

Open to Hang
Let your friends know you're around and up for something today. Broadcast an "Open to Hang" status for a few hours, see which friends are free at a glance, and start a chat or spin up a quick event with one tap.

Group Events, Organized
Planning a recurring game night, a weekly run, or a monthly dinner? Create event groups to keep your people organized and your invites consistent. Transfer ownership when plans change hands, and keep every sub-event in one place.

Real-Time Chat, Built In
Every event has a conversation. Start a 1:1 chat or spin up a group thread. Messages arrive in real time, with typing indicators, photo sharing, polls, and live location sharing, so coordination happens where the plans do. No switching between apps.

Polls, In Thread
Italian or tacos? Drop a poll in the chat. Vote live, add options, and move on to actually showing up.

Live Location Sharing
Running late? Heading over? Share your live location with the chat for up to an hour. No separate apps. No awkward "where are you?" texts.

Event Photos and Custom Chats
Attach photos to events so your crew knows the vibe before they arrive. Rename group chats, set a custom chat photo, and add or remove people whenever plans shift.

Calendar and Reminders
Add events to your device calendar with one tap. Get a heads-up before things start with reminder timing that matches how you actually plan.

Your Social Circle, Your Privacy
Friend requests are mutual. Events are private by default, visible only to you and the people you invite. Shareable events go out via link when you want to open the doors wider. Blocking, reporting, and account deletion are one tap away. You stay in control.

Push Notifications That Actually Help
Get notified when a friend pings you, when someone RSVPs, or when a message comes in. Notifications route you straight to the right event, chat, or list. Tune them per type so you only hear from the things you care about.

Built for iOS
Third Place is designed specifically for iPhone, with a native SwiftUI experience that uses Liquid Glass design and the latest iOS features. Requires iOS 26 or later.
