Japan relies on imports for many of its essential resources, with 99% of these shipments transported by merchant vessels such as tankers and bulk carriers.
Imported resources are processed domestically into various goods for export, generating foreign currency. Merchant ships—including container ships and car carriers—play a vital role in these exports as well.

Building a merchant ship can take two to three years or more; consequently, many shipping companies secure the vessels they operate by leasing them from shipowners (a practice known as "chartering").


Use your merchant fleet to handle imports and exports, activate key domestic industries, and fuel the growth of the Japanese economy!
There are just two main tasks for the player:

1.
Charter merchant ships! You can sign contracts by selecting the charter period, ship type, and vessel size. Once chartered, simply choose your trading partners and the goods to be traded, and the ships will set sail.

2.
Operate essential domestic industries! By supplying valuable resources to these industries, you can manufacture products. These goods can be consumed domestically or sold as exports to earn foreign currency. Infrastructure that generates energy cannot be allowed to stop; oil, LNG (liquefied natural gas), and coal are vital to the Japanese economy. Make sure to keep imports flowing!


It’s "Game Over" if you run out of any of the essentials for infrastructure and daily life: oil, LNG, coal, food, or money. Keep a close eye on your resource stockpiles as you manage the Japanese economy!
