You are the captain of a mercenary guild.

The tower that binds the worlds has opened. It begins in the ruins of a fallen kingdom
and rises through a mist-wrapped bamboo forest, an empire of steel and gunpowder,
an abyss where light does not reach, and finally the nest of the elder dragon at its peak.
Fifty floors across five worlds.

You never swing a sword. Your work is choosing people, growing them, and sending them out.

Humans, elves, dwarves, beastkin. The abyssal come only through awakening.
Nine classes. Every mercenary hides a potential you can only estimate, and the appraiser's
grade is a guess. A better scouting team finds better raw talent, though the most gifted
tend to arrive with the hardest temperaments.

[Grow]
Experience accrues only up to a mercenary's potential. Upgrade your training hall,
infirmary and lodging, manage fatigue and morale, and spend a career's prime before age
takes it. Veterans who survive enough real combat push past their own limits. A rare few
awaken as abyssal and become something else.

[Deploy, then watch]
Battles resolve automatically. Every decision you make happens before the fight begins:
who holds the front row, which party synergies you complete, who carries which gear,
and how you answer this floor's risk profile. The roster is the strategy.

[Names that last]
Eight named heroes will knock on your door as you climb. Relationships form, injuries cost
weeks, and some mercenaries do not come back. The chronicle remembers all of it.

Conquering the summit does not end the tower. Guild renown unlocks an endless climb.
