TRACE: Sampler & FX

TRACE turns iPad into a playable sampler, scene sequencer, and two-touch effects instrument. Start with one of five editable sample projects or open a blank project and build from silence.

PLAY
Trigger 64 velocity-sensitive pads across four banks. Use one-shot, gate, loop, choke, hold, fixed velocity, and pad roll controls while every pad launches directly.

SHAPE
Move two touches across TRACE FIELD to combine filter, space, grain, and tape effects. The center dry zone bypasses all four effects, and CLEAR returns both touches to a clean starting point. Record the motion as a one-, two-, or four-bar loop and keep a different motion in each scene.

BUILD
The free app includes one custom project with up to eight scenes. Edit 16-step patterns, queue scene changes on the next bar, and record pad and TRACE moves as a live take. The one-time Full Unlock removes the custom-project limit and expands each project to sixteen scenes.

CAPTURE
Record with the iPad microphone, import an audio file, or capture the recent master output from the free 15-second TRACE Memory. Full Unlock adds 30- and 60-second Memory windows. Slice audio, assign it to a pad, and resample the processed result.

EXPORT
Render and share a 48 kHz stereo Master WAV for free. Full Unlock adds four stereo Bank Stems for use in a DAW.

Full Unlock is a one-time purchase with no subscription. TRACE has no account, advertising, behavioral analytics, or tracking. Projects and recordings stay on the iPad unless you choose to export them. RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase history to provide and restore Full Unlock.
