TripEven: Travel Expense Split

a travel expense tracker built for one trip across many countries, by someone who spent a month in Southeast Asia doing the maths on a hostel bed with a calculator.

Everything is built around one thing: logging what you just spent, in the currency you actually paid it in, in about three seconds. Nothing waits on the network, so it works on a night bus with no signal and syncs when you are back on wifi.

ONE SCREEN FOR THE WHOLE TRIP
What it has cost in your own money, whether you are still inside your budget, and every expense on a running tape underneath. 57 currencies, each frozen at the rate on the day you spent it — TripEven never rewrites the past when rates move.

TRAVELLING WITH PEOPLE
Share a six-letter code and everyone logs what they pay on their own phone. Mark an expense as shared and TripEven works out the fewest payments that square the group up. Personal spending stays personal. Every row on the tape says who paid, each traveller picks a hand-drawn face and gets their own colour, and a tap on the avatars shows who is on the trip and what each of them has put in.

A PASSPORT THAT FILLS UP AS YOU GO
Spend in a country's currency and TripEven offers you its stamp — from the currency you declared, never from your location, so there is no permission to grant and nothing to do offline. Every stamp is drawn on the spot from the country code, so no two pages look alike. Souvenirs fill the page further: five hand-painted things per country, from a wau kite to a Hahoe mask.

LIGHT AND DARK
The app was drawn for night buses, but a beach at noon is not a night bus. There is now a daylight face of the same booth, and a System / Light / Dark picker in Settings.

A WELCOME THAT SHOWS ITS WORK
New travellers get a short introduction that runs the whole loop once — the total counting up, a shared dinner in baht landing on the tape, the settle-up that follows — instead of a feature list.

Your first trip is free and needs no account. Premium adds receipt scanning, more than one trip at a time, and CSV export. Souvenirs are a separate one-off purchase, bought a country at a time, and they decorate a page and nothing else.
