TrueTune - Violin Tuner

TrueTune is a violin tuner with a calm practice companion built in.

Tune first. Choose Violin Strings and tap G, D, A or E to lock a target, or switch to Chromatic and let TrueTune follow whatever you play. You see the note, the deviation in cents, the target frequency, and one clear instruction: Tune up, Tune down, or In tune. Nothing else to interpret.

Then keep playing. The same listening engine powers short guided lessons and practice drills, so the tuner stays useful after your strings are in tune.

BUILT FOR BEGINNERS

Note names sit beside the notation, so you do not need to read music fluently to start. Instructions are short and specific. When the sound is unclear, TrueTune says so instead of guessing a note.

TrueTune never tells you which way to turn a peg, because every instrument is set up differently. It tells you whether the pitch is high or low and lets you decide.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Sound is analysed on your iPhone, and only while you are inside a listening screen. Audio is never recorded, stored or uploaded. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no network access — TrueTune works completely offline.

ACCESSIBILITY

VoiceOver labels on every control, Dynamic Type support up to the largest accessibility sizes, Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency support, and touch targets sized for comfortable use.

TrueTune listens to pitch and steadiness. It cannot see your bow arm or your posture, so it is a practice partner rather than a replacement for a teacher.
