Unboxd AI helps you understand a packaged food before deciding whether to keep it, compare it, or make a homemade version.

Scan a UPC or EAN with the camera—or enter it manually—to match the exact public product record. Unboxd shows the product name and barcode for verification, explains the available ingredient list, identifies cataloged additives, and displays per-serving nutrition only when the source supports a real serving. Missing or implausible data is clearly withheld instead of filled with a guess.

The transparent Unboxd Score uses a fixed rubric for nutrition, ingredient quality, and additive evidence. Personal goals never secretly rewrite the standard score; optional Goal Fit is shown separately.

When a practical homemade equivalent exists, optional AI can create the same kind of food around your selected goals, eating style, allergens, cooking preferences, and equipment. Pancakes remain pancakes, popcorn remains popcorn, and products without an honest equivalent are identified instead of receiving an unrelated recipe.

An email/password account keeps scans, recipes, photos, and preferences attached to the user. Core barcode lookup and scoring work without enabling AI recipe sharing.
